Luis Daniel is a General Partner at Sunna Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm investing in companies advancing the energy transition and industrial decarbonization across the U.S. and Latin America. Previously he was a managing director at Salkantay Ventures and Samsung Next Ventures. He also launched and led the first climate investment efforts at Google. Luis was the founder of Xertica, the leading cloud MSP in LatAm with over $100M in ARR and of Hattery, which was acquired by Google.

Luis attended the Wharton School of business at UPenn for his MBA and was selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur and a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. He lives in Silicon Valley with his family and rescue dog. In his free time he enjoys cycling, running, and all the other outdoor activities that California has to offer. He’s also a huge geek about food, sports, and trivia in general.

With over a decade of experience, Luisa has invested across diverse industries and stages in roles at Collaborative Fund, Revolution Growth, SoftBank, and GCM Grosvenor.

She holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where she served as co-President of the VC Club, and a B.A. in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Born and raised in Venezuela, Luisa is passionate about building bridges between Latin America and the U.S. tech ecosystems and backing companies that make the world better. Outside of work, she enjoys long, slow runs and spending time with her family.

José Tomás is an Associate at Sunna Ventures. Previously, he worked at a management consulting firm on strategic and operational excellence projects in various industries, including aquaculture, telecoms, and finance. He also participated in creating a small startup focused on water management in agriculture.

José Tomás studied Industrial Engineering in the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, with a major in IT Technologies. He is a big fan of cooking, planning exciting weekend activities, and enjoying meals with friends

Oscar is a member of the Investment Committee at Sunna Ventures and Executive Director of WildSur, a Chile-based family office with a global investment focus. He previously worked in the renewable energy and materials sectors, helping shape WildSur’s decarbonization investment thesis. Oscar is also a Trustee for TNC Chile and a Council Member for Fundación Luksic, reflecting his commitment to conservation and philanthropy.

A Mechanical Engineer by background, Oscar is keen on tackling climate change. In his free time, he enjoys backcountry skiing in the winter and trail running in the summer.

José Antonio is a member of the Investment Committee at Sunna Ventures. Today, he serves as the Principal at the Chilean family office WildSur Inversiones, where he previously led the alternative assets area. Before that, he worked in the real estate sector, covering areas such as M&A and private equity funds.

José Antonio studied Business Administration and completed his Executive MBA at IESE Business School. He currently lives in Madrid with his wife and two children.
